Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Retail Financial Controller to join our team in Cairo. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our retail company, including overseeing the accounting department, managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including a team of accountants and financial analysts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and international accounting regulations and laws.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and procedures.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of tax returns and other financial reports.
  • Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  • Train and mentor accounting staff to ensure their professional development and growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years as a Chief Accountant.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft AX Dynamics.
  • Ability to manage a team of accountants and financial analysts.
  • Experience with electronic invoicing systems and tax laws.
  • Experience with audit offices and annual closings.
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements, monthly reports, and financial regulations.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the retail industry.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
