**STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**: Advanced University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Gender Equality, Social Sciences, International Affairs, or other field relevant to international development assistance, or First University Degree with additional years of related work experience and/or trainings/ courses.

**Language**: Fluency in both oral and written communication in the Arabic and English languages.

**Experience**: At least one (1) year of postgraduate professional experience in women’s empowerment, livelihoods, financial inclusion, education, nutrition, information management Programmes

**ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT**:
These jobs are found in Headquarters (HQ), Regional Bureaux (RBs) or Country Offices (COs) and job holders report to a more senior Programme Policy Officer.
Job holders are likely to be working under the close support and guidance of a more experienced professional staff member receiving guidance and regular feedback on work performed. They are typically involved in programme or policy activities or similar nature and analytical work of limited complexity.

**JOB PURPOSE**:
To provide support to policy and programme activities that effectively contribute to livelihoods and economic empowerment of vulnerable communities, with focus on women, aiming to increase their self-reliance and food security.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)**:

- Provide management support to livelihoods and economic empowerment programmes and projects of considerable size/complexity, ensuring a coordinated approach with wider programmes.
- Support in the development of a wide variety of projects, plans and processes, ensuring alignment with national strategies and WFP policies and guidance.
- Research and analyze a range of policy and operational information, approaches and trends to support senior colleagues in the development of livelihood resilience and economic empowerment policies, programmes and activities, responding to needs of vulnerable communities.
- Prepare and monitor budgets for new and ongoing livelihood interventions, analyze and report on financial status and outcomes of projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Contribute to strengthening capacities of government stakeholders, national partners, NGOs, as well as WFP staff to prepare for and manage interventions on livelihoods, gender equality and women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship, and including digitalization and digital marketing.
- Manage data gathering and monitoring systems from the field, including needs assessments, baseline and endline assessments, and other, while confirming rigorous quality standards are maintained.

- Contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely reporting on programmes and activities that enable informed decision making and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
- Liaise with internal and external counterparts to ensure effective collaboration, monitor ongoing projects and highlight potential risks to project delivery.
- Take responsibility for integrating protection and gender perspectives in all areas of work, to ensure equal participation of women and men in livelihoods and empowerment.
