- **PROJECT BACKGROUND**

The Business Egypt Program is a five-year, USAID-funded program implemented by DAI. Business Egypt aims to substantially increase sales revenues and investments among Egyptian micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises and, by so doing, create new job opportunities, especially for women and youth. The project will co-invest with an ecosystem of institutions—business service providers, business associations, supportive government institutions, and more—to offer new products and services enabling MSMEs to better meet market demand and increase their sales. Business Egypt’s proposed sectors are renewable energy, ICT, and 3 additional sectors TBD. The project will operate from offices in Cairo, Alexandria, and Minya/Assiut (TBD).

**2. POSITION DESCRIPTION**

The Office Assistant will provide custodial and administrative support for the project office.

**3. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Facilitate opening & closing of project office on daily basis.
- Conduct daily check of office space to ensure daily cleaning is completed and work areas remain clean and safe.
- Support the HR & Operations Manager with logistics for meetings or events.
- Deliver and pick-up mail, messages, documents, packages and other items to and from the office, or any other location that may be required and requested by the HR & Operations Manager.
- Organize and secure all deliveries and provide support to visitors.
- Manage basic administrative duties.
- Organize and maintain records, office equipment, cleaning supplies and stationeries.
- Make photocopies of reports and correspondence as requested by the HR & Operations Manager
- Coordinate the maintenance and repair of office equipment as directed by the HR and Operations Manager.
- Other tasks as required.

**4. QUALIFICATIONS**
- 1 - 3 years of professional experience. High School diploma is preferred.
- Relevant work experience, preferably with an international organization.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Strong integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills in Arabic (reading, speaking and writing). Basic English skills preferred.
