**Role Purpose**:
The position is responsible to lead and manage Egypt & Lebanon ‘s Retail Design & Delivery (RDD), Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) team to ensure quick review and approvals of Tenant design submissions with respect to MEP, fire & life safety in alignment with, the asset’s / project’s design, Technical Criteria, project fire strategy, life safety codes and statutory regulations.

The TDM -MEP shall lead and monitor the construction of the MEP Tenant fit-out on site and ensure quick site inspections at different stages of the fit-out, as well as authorize landlord services following MAF’s RDD Policies and Procedure.

**Role Details - Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Lead and manage the team to ensure a quick review of the tenant’s MEP design drawings in compliance with Technical Criteria Tenant MEP works, COPs, and local authority life safety
- Manage, deliver, and offer solutions for the MEP services to ensure smooth operations within the retail design and delivery department.
- Assist both the Retail Design Manager (RDM) and the Tenancy Delivery Manager (TDM) to ensure the delivery of all MEP works are as per the established MAF RDD Milestones and MAF quality standards.
- Collaborate with Development, Project Management and MEP consultants to ensure all tenant requirements are taken care of in the design phase to minimize the number of Tenant Variation Request on MEP requirements and facilitate the delivery of the tenant fit-out within the agreed time line.
- Assist in the coordination and preparation of MEP specific information relating to the Retail units with asset management and facility management divisions of the business.
- Manage stakeholder relationships at all levels for the delivery of the MEP engineering within the Retail development.
- Assist the RDD team in identifying strategies for effective delivery of MEP engineering within a Retail unit (development from concept design to completion including engineering consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers).
- Provide regular feedback with regards to progress of the retail units at various stages of the design and construction including status, risk, and recommendations with respect to any mitigation measures that may be required.
- Ensure the completion of each required MEP discipline along with the applicable authorities’ certification approvals prior to the unit opening.
- Conduct evaluations of completed projects to establish whether the objectives were achieved and consolidate the information to ensure future project do not experience and shortfall that may have arisen.
- Continuously update the Asset Tenant MEP matrix and analyse the matrix to establish a benchmark of the Tenant MEP provisions for the region.
- Provide innovation ideas to update the MAF Green Star Rating.
- Assist the RDD Senior Manager, MEP on delivering strategic initiatives.
- Issue the Tenant MEP works to the asset teams and review the scope of redemising works.
- Issue MEP LODs for redemising works.
- Contribute ideas to Value Engineering to reduce Landlord variation requests, the Base build projects’ initial cost, and operating costs on the long run.
- Train, guide and mentor the Egypt RDD MEP team (Enova and new joiners of MAF direct employees).
- Ensure compliance with the MAF’s Code of Conduct, Departmental policies and HC Policies and Procedures at all times.
- Be the advocate and ambassador of aligning and cascading the MAF values; ensure that they are adhered to and exhibited all the time.
- Lead by example - thrive to create an honest and open work environment where individuals collaborate /support each other as a team and are passionate to achieve a common business objective.

**Functional/Technical Competencies**:

- Ability to lead and manage team from multiple engineering functions.
- Ability to mentor, guide and teach the RDD Enova MEP team and new joiners.
- MEP Design and construction experience in Food & Beverage (F&B) and Retail units.
- Good knowledge of MEP material specifications, and local products, as well as the cost of the products and installation charges.
- Good Knowledge of national and international code
