**Role Purpose**:
This analyst position is responsible for working alongside a Relationship Manager, with accountability for service, risk, sales and operational delivery to achive highest customer satisfaction through:

- pipeline, sales activity and customer service management,
- supporting RMs on credit related operations,
- Responsible to assist RM and deliver on CDD related process for respective portfolio
- liaising with onshore/offshore credit, service delivery and product support teams,
- managing customer interaction on perfection of securities, mandate documentation,
- periodic and ad hoc reporting and project specific activities,
- preparation of call reports, research and analysis, account conduct reviews,
- client interaction on operational matters, complaints resolution, etc.
- monitoring of accounts, timely escalation of risks as appropriate

**Principal Accountabilities**:
**Impact on the Business/Function**:

- Closely work with the RM to increase revvenues from existing and new to bank clients
- Assist the customer draw on the HSBC group network by working closely with other CMB sites and product groups (Global Trade and Receivables finance (GTRF), Global Banking & Markets (GBM), Insurance & Investments (I&I) and Payments and Cash Management (PCM)
- Structure appropriate credit facilities for the customer
- Maintain a proactive and appropriate calling programme to service clients, ensuring senior management and key stakeholders for clients are contacted regularly
- Adopt and ensure fully effective utilisation of all tools and systems provided by the bank to assist in service and sales delivery
- Keep abreast of external factors influencing international business e.g. economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory requirements
- In discussion with RM, develop effective strategies to manage customer relationships, anticipate customer needs and provide a superior quality service to position HSBC as the market leader in this segment
- Assist RM to ensure timely and accurate maintenance of customer information, including Know your Customer (KYC) requirements, in Group systems

**Customers / Stakeholders**:

- Establish an effective working relationship with Risk Management teams, in order to validate the accuracy of the customer risk profile, and ensure sustainable asset growth
- Deliver a high quality service by owning customer engagement, striving for excellence in all interactions with (prospective) customer or other professionals, and always acting according to the highest professional standards
- Ensure early identification of problem relationships and take action in consultation with RM, where there are potential and existing problem accounts to protect HSBC interests
- Work in partnership with colleagues across the HSBC network to deliver exceptional standards and quality of service
- Ensure fairness in all aspects of strategy, product design and delivery, customer literature and correspondence, financial promotions, administration and complaint handling
- Participate in internal and external business events, road shows and seminars as required by the business in consultation with RM
- Co-ordinate, participate and/or source product partners into customer relationships to ensure appropriate coverage by product partners and alignment to agreed account objectives
- Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets

**Qualifications**:

- Proven ability, with a successful record of accomplishment in risk management, operational and regulatory, credit analysis and judgmental lending
- Knowledge of the Commercial Banking market both globally and specifically relating to the local environment, including the competitive landscape, with a detailed knowledge of competitor propositions.
- Honed analytical skills, with a strong emphasis on credit and operational risk
- Visible and motivational leadership, ability to influence others
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a particular emphasis upon inspiring, influencing and negotiating in dealing with customers and colleagues
- Ability to effectively plan and organize, with tenacity to drive through results
- Innovative with a flair for solving problems
- Commercial acumen
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, related field, or equivalent experience
- Understanding of local operating markets and their corresponding span(s) of control within assigned country
- Experience of driving strategic change in a matrix environment
