**Job Title**: Assistant Cost Manager, PDS
**Job Summary**:
As an Assistant Cost Manager for PDS, you will be responsible for various cost estimation and management tasks throughout the project lifecycle. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and ability to work under pressure will be crucial in delivering high-quality cost plans, reports, and documents. You will also play a key role in the change control process and contribute to the cost reporting of the project.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Utilize excellent take-off skills to ensure accurate and efficient measurements.
Prepare budget and pre-contract cost estimates, as well as cost plans for different project stages.
Create tender evaluation reports and bills of quantities.
Develop pre-tender cost estimates and review and negotiate prices with contractors.
Prepare contract documents and review monthly payment valuations.
Manage the change control process for additional works.
Price and review additional works through post-contract cost estimates.
Collaborate with the design team and attend site and design team meetings.
Demonstrate leadership capabilities and contribute to personal development planning.
Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner.
**Desired Skills and Experience**:
Hardworking and proactive individual with a strong attention to detail and a passion for high standards.
Demonstrated experience in the Real Estate sector.
Excellent technical cost and commercial management skills.
Proficient in written and oral communication.
Strong prioritization and self-management skills, with the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
**Key Competencies**:
Strong knowledge and experience in IT-based solutions.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software.
Familiarity with cost estimation and quantity surveying software such as CostX, Plan Swift, Bluebeam, or Candy is advantageous.
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
Associate or member of RICS (or in process) is advantageous.
Experience in the Construction, Fit-out, and/or Renovation projects is preferred.
Experience in the Middle East is desirable, but not essential.
