**_ Objective:_**

The purpose of the assignment is to support the scaling up of Dawwie community engagement package in targeted governorates -national scale (27 governorates). Over the next 11.5 months, the field coordinator will be supporting in
- Organizing, and facilitating capacity building sessions for official counterparts, civil society organizations and relevant stakeholders and development partners.
- Mobilizing grass-root civil society organizations in local communities to join Dawwie through identifying capacity needs and facilitating capacity building.
- Execute and monitor the implementation of on-ground community engagement package of Dawwie.
- Activities implementation in the field monitoring, documenting and reporting activities in different governorates including identifying human interest stories.

**_ACTIVITIES, DELIVERABLES, AND TIMELINES, PLUS BUDGET PER DELIVERABLE_**_ _

**The consultant is expected to perform the below tasks**:

- Provide support to coordination with civil society organizations and local government partners in targeted governorates;
- Support and participate in technical coordination meetings with partners (government, civil society, etc) in terms of preparing notes and documentation, meetings minutes, and support the follow up on implementation of recommendations and actions agreed with the different partners based on guidance of SBC officer;
- Support in the organization, mobilization and coordination of field visits and ensuring abiding by UNICEF standards and regulations including facilitating documentation process and consent (photography, videography and human-interest stories);
- Provide support and capacity building to Dawwie partners and stakeholders in in the implementation of Dawwie community engagement package including M&E framework and reporting;
- Any other related requests by the supervisor within the framework of this consultancy.

2.1 Support the coordination of at least 10 Dawwie camps (4 days each) in selected governorates (40 days)

2.2 Advocacy with local authorities in all governorates to mainstream Dawwie activities (10 days)

2.3 Mobilizing at least 20 grass-root civil society organizations in local communities to join Dawwie through identifying capacity needs and facilitating capacity building (20 days)

**_Conditions of work:_**
- The project coordinator will work within the framework of the Social and Behavioral Change/Community Engagement (SBC/CE) Section.
- Consultancy will include frequent field visits to the projects’ sites including Upper, Lower and Urban Governorates according to a set plan.
- Monthly reports with progress, challenges, and recommendations are essential part of the deliverables and request for payments.
- The consultant will be mandated to follow UNICEF codes of conducts.

**To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have**

The consultant should be a resident of Egypt and is expected to possess the following qualifications:

- University degree in development or social sciences or any related field
- Minimum 5 years of community mobilization experience in Egypt, preferably in the selected governorates.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in field work, preferably in rural areas
- Excellent command of Arabic (reading and writing) is a must
- Strong understanding of UNICEF’s social and behavioral change/community engagement is a must
- Experience to work with government counterparts and international organizations.
