As Regional Marketing Lead - Middle East & Africa you will be part of the Hitachi Energy business based in Dubai, UAE and responsible for driving growth in the MEA region through marketing activities. They will be responsible for driving growth in the region through marketing activities.

Your responsibilities

  • You will deliver on the regional marketing plan, in alignment with the global marketing team, planning and developing strategic marketing programs to create awareness, generate qualified leads and grow sales – with the goal of profitable business growth and increased market share for MEA.
  • You will be expected to run marketing tactics, including Account-Based Marketing (ABM), marketing automation lead nurturing campaigns, tradeshows, events, conferences, marketing content development (blogs, white papers, advertising, etc.), and other high-impact promotional programs.
  • You will localize global value propositions and segment marketing strategies for appropriate market segments to meet regional customer needs, map and understand local customers' decision journeys to develop promotional plans to improve customer engagement, lead generation and company positioning.
  • This position will require being a bridge and practicing close collaboration and alignment with the Region Head, local sales organization, business units and communications function to align on strategic priorities and objectives.
  • You will be the region point of contact for global marketing campaigns and platforms (Eloqua, digital applications, etc.), manage the strategic selection, evaluation and measurement of customer events and engagements in coordination with the global event strategy.
  • You will work closely with the communications team in project managing strategic events in MEA, driving metrics-based reporting across the region.
  • You will be accountable for annually set KPIs measuring Return on Marketing Investment (RoMI) for the region and be expected to analyze these metrics and achieve demonstratable YOY improvements.

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, branding or marketing communications in a B2B environment (technical, industrial or energy/power segment preferred)
  • Experience in marketing, branding, or marketing communications in a B2B environment (technical, industrial or energy/power segment preferred)
  • Field experience covering the Middle East/Africa region preferred.
  • Experience with direct project management – end-to-end from planning to delivery – of marketing campaigns, industry events and demand generation initiatives.
  • Experience with managing, tracking, and reporting on budgets (financial stewardship accountability), business events management: third-party trade fairs as well as proprietary conferences and marketing metrics, ROIs and reporting.
  • Analytical and digital marketing skills, as well as knowledge of lead generation practices and performance-based digital marketing, basic understanding of lead generation and marketing automation (preferably with Eloqua) and SFDC.
  • Keen sense of initiative, flexibility, and resourcefulness, well-developed communication and organizational skills, willingness to travel on business assignments.
  • Analytical mindset (i.e. marketing measurement, new market analysis).
  • Strong relationship management skills with internal and external partners at all levels.
  • Ability to leverage analytics to inform strategy, passion for innovation and bringing fresh ideas to the table.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a knack for distilling down complex ideas into customer-friendly language.
  • Fluent command of English, both written and spoken. Second language a plus, especially Arabic.
