Quality Assurance Automation Lead

**What we’re looking for**:
As a **QA Lead**, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust test automation strategy, ensuring high test coverage across functional, regression, and integration testing. You will lead a team of QA engineers, mentor team members, and collaborate closely with developers and product managers to embed quality into every stage of the development lifecycle.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Design and implement an end-to-end test automation strategy, ensuring scalable and repeatable testing processes.
- Build and enhance automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Write, maintain, and optimise automated test scripts, focusing on functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Implement automated tests within CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI to ensure early defect detection.
- Oversee manual testing efforts for complex features, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and non-functional testing.
- Work closely with development and product teams to ensure testability, provide feedback on requirements, and improve product quality.
- Validate backend services and third-party integrations using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.
- Track automation coverage, report test execution results, and drive continuous process improvements.
- Champion quality throughout the software development lifecycle, embedding best practices in development and deployment processes.

**What you will need to have**:
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- ** 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance**, with a strong focus on automation testing.
- ** Expertise in Test Automation** - Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, and Appium.
- ** CI/CD Integration Skills** - Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI).
- ** API Testing Proficiency** - Strong knowledge of API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.
- ** Agile Experience** - Experience working in an Agile environment using tools like Jira for sprint management and issue tracking.
- ** Leadership & Mentorship** - Proven experience mentoring QA engineers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- ** Programming Skills** - Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, or Groovy for developing automation scripts.
- ** Version Control Expertise** - Familiarity with Git for managing test scripts and collaborating with development teams.
- ** Defect Management & Reporting** - Experience using Jira or similar tools to track issues and report test outcomes.
- ** Test Management Tools** - Experience with tools such as TestRail or Quality Center for test case management and reporting.

**Desirable Skills**
- Experience with **payment gateways and financial technologies**.
- Knowledge of **security testing principles**, including encryption and transaction security.
- Exposure to **performance testing** using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- ** AWS Certifications** (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
- Familiarity with **PCI DSS compliance** or other financial services regulations.
