Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer - Software Industry

**Position**:Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

**Location**: Remote

**Department**: Quality Assurance / Software Development

**Reports to**: QA Manager / Lead QA Engineer

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Develop and Execute Test Plans**:

- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Execute manual and automated tests to ensure the software meets business and user requirements.

**Identify and Report Bugs**:

- Identify, record, document, and track software defects.
- Collaborate with the development team to resolve issues and verify bug fixes.

**Automation Testing**:

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
- Continuously improve test automation processes and expand test coverage.

**Regression Testing**:

- Conduct regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not adversely affected by new developments.

**Performance Testing**:

- Perform performance, load, and stress testing to ensure software scalability and reliability.

**Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability and quality issues.
- Participate in design and code reviews to provide a quality perspective.

**Continuous Improvement**:

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in software testing.
- Suggest and implement improvements to the QA processes and methodologies.

**Documentation**:

- Create and maintain detailed and accurate documentation related to test plans, test cases, and test results.
- Document and share knowledge on best practices, tools, and processes with the QA team.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

**Experience**:

- Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role in software development.
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
- Experience in automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and test management software (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

**Certifications**:

- ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with performance and security testing.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

**Working Hours Policy**

The working hours are structured according to the location of the employees. For those based in the UAE, the work schedule is from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, five days a week.

Note: This ensures that the work hours align with the local time zones and customary workweek durations of each region.

Pay: E£18,000.00 - E£30,000.00 per month
