Manager , QA Engineering

We’re looking for a **Manager, QA**Engineering** join Procore’s Product & Technology Team. Procore software solutions aim to improve the lives of everyone in construction and the people within Product & Technology are the driving force behind our innovative, top-rated global platform. We’re a customer-centric group that encompasses engineering, product, product design and data, security, and business systems.

This role reports to the Director, QA Engineering and is based in Cairo, Egypt. We’re looking for someone to join our team immediately.

**What you’ll do**:

- **Lead & Mentor** - Manage, mentor, and grow a team of QA Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and career development.
- **Define Testing Strategies** - Design, implement, and improve testing strategies to enhance product quality, including manual, automated, performance, and security testing.
- **Ensure High-Quality Deliverables** - Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting to produce reliable assessments of software readiness.
- **Optimize Test Automation** - Drive the adoption of automated testing solutions (preferably using Cypress) to increase test coverage and efficiency.
- **Collaborate Across Teams** - Work closely with engineering, product management, and DevOps teams to integrate testing into the software development lifecycle.
- **Drive Process Improvements** - Establish and enhance QA processes, methodologies, and best practices to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- **Manage Testing Environments** - Oversee test environments, CI/CD pipelines, and ensure seamless deployment of high-quality software.
- **Advocate for Quality** - Promote a quality-first mindset across engineering teams, ensuring testing is integrated at every stage of development.
- **Support Release Management** - Assist with release readiness, regression testing, and deployment validation to ensure smooth product launches.

**What we’re looking for**:

- 1-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, and leading QA engineers.
- Thorough understanding of software testing methodologies, QA tools, and Agile principles.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously.
- Must be flexible, independent, and self-motivated.
- Strong database manipulation skills, mainly in MySQL
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Experience in test automation (Preferably in Cyress)
- Good understanding of Linux administration and DevOps principles
- Good understanding of the full web stack
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
- Experience in API testing using Postman
- Experience working with geographically dispersed teams is a plus
