Accounting Associate

We’re looking for an **Accounting Associate** to join Procore’s Finance Strategy and Operations (FSO) business unit. In this role, you’ll ensure the accuracy of a variety of financial records, and you'll maintain one or more accounting systems. Your contributions will assist in maintaining the financial records of the company through analyzing balance sheets, coding Journal entries and general ledger accounts, as well as preparing reports.

**This position** reports to Manager, Financial Analysis**,** and **will be based in our Cairo Office**. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

**What you’ll do**:

- Assist with timely and accurate completion of all month, quarter, and year-end revenue-related close items including the preparation of journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, account reconciliations, and analyses
- Assist the team with ad hoc research, reporting, and projects as it pertains to revenue, AR, Cash, and expenditures.
- Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations
- Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income, and balance sheet statements.
- Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects.
- Provides a record of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions. May prepare local reports and tax returns.
- May interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders.
- May generate revenue reports for internal and/or external use.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance with a GPA of 3.4 or higher.
- Internship experience in a bank or a public company.
- Strong ability to navigate change, a keen eye for details, organized and open to new possibilities.
- Effective pleasant interpersonal communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work proactively and independently, and/or with a team.
- Persistent and helpful when accomplishing objectives despite obstacles.
- Intermediate knowledge of computer-based accounting software i.e. Microsoft Office Excel/World, Google Sheets, QuickBooks, or NetSuite is a plus.
- Desire to continue professional growth through training.
