Job Summary:
As a SAP ABAP EDI Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing SAP ABAP EDI solutions for our global clientele. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions that streamline our clients' electronic data interchange (EDI) processes. Your expertise in SAP ABAP and EDI integration will be essential in ensuring seamless data exchange, enhancing operational efficiency, and optimizing our clients' business processes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective SAP ABAP EDI solutions.
- Develop and enhance SAP ABAP programs and interfaces to facilitate EDI communication between SAP and external systems.
- Customize and configure IDocs, partner profiles, and EDI mappings to enable seamless data exchange.
- Perform EDI testing, troubleshooting, and error handling to ensure accurate and reliable data transmission.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to optimize EDI processes.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, end-users, and clients on SAP ABAP EDI functionalities.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP ABAP and EDI trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven 3 to 4 experience as a SAP ABAP Consultant with expertise in EDI integration.
- Applicants should possess strong expertise and proficiency in SAP EDI, including the integration of third-party systems using the FTP protocol. They should be able to effectively utilize files between the FTP server and the SAP system.
- Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP programming, IDocs, ALE, and RFCs.
- Experience in configuring and customizing EDI mappings and partner profiles.
- Proficient in EDI standards (such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP).
- Familiarity with SAP modules like SD, MM, FI, and logistics.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- SAP ABAP certification (preferred).
