**Position Overview**:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in overseeing all aspects of our company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with relevant regulations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely reporting to management and external stakeholders.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the company's annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial goals and monitor performance against targets. Prepare financial forecasts and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll processing. Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with accounting standards.
- Tax Compliance: Coordinate with external tax advisers to ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax filings. Stay current on tax regulations and implement strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Audit Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during annual financial audits. Prepare audit schedules and support documentation, addressing inquiries and facilitating the audit process to ensure a smooth and efficient outcome.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and support professional development initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen internal controls. Implement best practices and leverage technology solutions to automate repetitive tasks and optimise workflow.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting to support strategic initiatives and business decisions. Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify trends, evaluate performance, and recommend actions for improvement.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (GAAP), and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with accuracy.
