About the job Senior Storage Engineer

**Purpose of the job**
- Perform Linux / UNIX systems management, virtualization, backup and storage in conjunction with the
- Network, Security, Middleware, Database, Intranet/Internet Application development teams.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Manage RHEL kick starts, patches and upgrades
- Address security vulnerabilities identified by security teams
- Maintain central logging system
- Progress virtualization of hardware based server infrastructure on hypervisors to reduce server provisioning
- Manage large computational clusters
- Orchestration of configuration management
- system installation, OS patch management, system integration, Infrastructure architecture design and on-going system maintenance.
- Serve in a core team that will serve as an escalation point for complex infrastructure technical issues.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation for complete solution including architecture diagrams and Linux/OS run books.

**Education**

Bachelor Degree in communication Engineering

**Experience and Skills**:

- Linux/RHEL/CentOS Operating System experience
- Experience with configuration management / automation tools
- Relevant scripting languages (Bash, KSH)
- Knowledge of virtualization (KVM, VMWare, OVM etc.)
- Knowledge of backup solutions (Netbackup)
- Knowledge of storage solutions (EMC, HPE, Hitachi, IBM etc.)
