**Position Summary**:
Site Safety / Emergency Response “SS/ER” Graduate “Responsible Care department” will learn how to act as the Safety champion to other business functions to achieve safe, reliable, and sustainable plant operation. Also, assisting SS /ER activities and will be part of a strong mentoring culture, where each Graduate is assigned a Mentor/ Supervisor for support in the Graduate’s personal and professional development. You will also receive on-the-job training, with opportunities to develop wider technical and project/ assignments delivery skills by working alongside experienced professionals.

**Position Responsibilities**:
**Some of the job’s roles and responsibilities include**:

- RC training programs and qualification of personnel (theoretical & practical) in collaboration with HR Learning & Development.
- Site safety, emergency response, environment, and industrial hygiene during normal operations, turnarounds, and shutdowns.
- RC champion for all site personnel in terms of intervention, site presence and input/output reporting (active KMI & Behavioral Based Safety reporting).
- Works with the RC team members in conducting regular gap analysis and audits with local legislation and international standards as well as developing gap closure plans.
- Understands the company’s control of work processes (Work Safety Control System-WSCS), Environment Management System, Industrial Hygiene and the emergency response plans.
- Ensures that the company’s site safety rules, policies and procedures are effectively complied with on site by staff and contractors during normal operations, turnarounds, and shutdowns (planned/unplanned).
- Participates in site audits/inspections, incident investigations, pre-start up safety reviews, risk assessments, and other hazard identification/risk management workshops as needed.
- Supports the daily maintenance planning to ensure that the work permit and work package include all the required controls and provides a healthy challenge to SIMOPS, risk assessment and JHA controls.
- Comply with Site safety rules, policies, and procedures.

**Position Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Science (Chemistry major) or Engineering.
- Previous work experience in a technical field is not necessary but would be an advantage.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Superb time management and professionalism.
- A growth mindset and willingness to accept criticism.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Good observation skills and willingness to learn.
- Very good command of English skills.
- Team player with multi-cultural exposure, strong ownership & safety commitment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to develop plans and actions.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office & Presentations skills.
