Senior Analyst, Business Development

Overview

Senior Analyst, SME Business Development, EEMEA will be responsible for:

- Develop and execute payments digitization and optimization strategy for converting cash payments into digital, this includes but not limited to B2B payments and SMEs collections
- Engage with internal and external customers to develop optimization strategies to drive incremental revenue by converting cash to purchase volume
- Develop financial modeling and business cases for identified opportunities, as well as coordinate contract development and track monthly
- Lead in providing market intelligence and market opportunities to CSC leads and in market teams
- Helps prepare for and participates in conversations with key decision makers about Optimization opportunities

Role
- Support the Global and Local Mastercard teams in identifying and running Consumer to SME propensity models for partners and their customers, based on data-driven intelligence and analytics
- Develop a full understanding of the respective market opportunities to drive Portfolio Optimization initiatives to increase incremental revenue.
- Work closely with CSC leads and Data and services to sought new opportunities for optimization and campaigns
- Analyse and track revenue upside for all initiatives and split per cluster.
- Track and report on progress for all initiatives and update the Product / Global SME team
- Manage and track global budget and report accordingly
- Track and report the $250M SME fund in conjunction with Finance
- Provide insights to the project worstreams and global teams on potential hurdles and resolutions

Experience / Education
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years’ with relevant work experience within the payment or technology industry in business development
- Demonstrable & visible experience for commercialization of a digital solution is critical
- High preference for action - results driven and with a disciplined approach to deliver targets
- Experience working across cultures, experience working in more than one country is highly desired
- Strong account and project management experience - ability to understand customer and constituent needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends and the competitive landscape with an ability to craft research and validation processes that support the selection of features and functions that support digital payment & optimization growth opportunities
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills - extensive experience in communicating in international environment at senior management level
- Understanding of payments economics and commercial backgrounds a plus
- Strong knowledge on how small merchants operate in market
- Quantitative analysis capabilities/ development of business cases
- Must encourage teamwork, integration & inclusion
