We are currently seeking an **Engineering Manager** to join our **Brightly **team in **Cairo, Egypt**. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our human resources and employee development activities within the technology organization.

As the Software Engineering Manager, you will play a vital role in cultivating a high-performance culture, building cohesive teams, and ensuring the success of our employees. Your leadership in software engineering will be instrumental in achieving multiple business objectives by leveraging and expanding our technical platforms.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of front-line employees, providing coaching, guidance, and support to maximize performance and achieve departmental goals.
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of professional engineers to ensure that engineering objectives are completed on time, within budget, and as per the set goals.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify talent needs and execute effective recruitment and selection strategies.
- Conduct onboarding processes, ensuring new hires are set up for success and equipped with the necessary resources and training.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting employee engagement, morale, and teamwork.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback to employees, addressing performance gaps and recognizing achievements.
- Implement career development plans and provide opportunities for skill-building and growth within the organization.
- Address employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in people management, implementing relevant strategies to drive employee satisfaction and retention.

**Required skills, knowledge and experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager.
- Strong understanding of management principles, including performance management, coaching, and team development.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain an elevated level of professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Passion for technology and a desire to work in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
- Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and share your knowledge with others.
