Tax Compliance Seller Engagement Manager

2+ years of experience within a customer service /contact center environment would be an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or similar field
- Prior experience in a tax firm
- Proven ability to lead / drive complex cross-functional projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional and international environment, to lead by influence and earn trust at all levels

Since the launch of VAT in 2018, Tax authorities in MENA continue to introduce new legislation that makes it challenging for Selling Partners to comply and do business across MENA. This change in VAT landscape required Amazon to take the forefront on Selling Partners compliance starting with educating them on VAT compliance requirements in MENA to enabling them pick the right VAT solution and, ultimately, taking action in the case of non-compliance. The person in this role will support Amazon Selling Partners that sell to MENA customers on tax related matters.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Demonstrates effective, clear and professional written and oral communication.
- Engages 1:1 with Amazon Selling Partners to educate them about their VAT obligations and guide them with resources to be compliant
- Captures key pain points reported by Amazon Selling Partners and works backwards to find solutions to simplify/eliminate these pain points
- Provides prompt and efficient service to Amazon Selling Partners including the appropriate escalation of Sellers’ issues.
- Creates processes with other departments such as Customer Service, Merchant Investigations, or Payments teams as required to resolve Selling Partner’s issues and questions. Work closely with internal partner teams to create, refine and localize processes leading to operational efficiency and seller success. Example - for handling buyer contacts for missing tax invoices
- Coordinate with global teams to communicate and train local teams on product/program launches to drive adoption and feedback.
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor always portraying the company in a positive light and effectively managing sensitive issues.
- Demonstrates excellent time-management skills and the ability to work independently while using departmental resources, policies and procedures.
- Contributes to a positive team environment and proactively aids team members with difficult contacts as needed.
- Actively seeks solutions through logical reasoning and data interpretation skills and identifies trends to appropriate channel including improvement suggestions.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with senior leadership in reporting, delivering project updates, and handling escalations
- Maintains acceptable performance metrics such as quality, productivity, first contact resolution, and attendance.
- 3+ years in a tax consulting firm in the Middle-East
- Business acumen in areas of Global e-commerce and retail
- Committed Selling Partner advocate, drive process & tool improvements
- Good data analysis skill
- Expert in Excel and other office tools
