As we continue to grow, we are looking for a meticulous and driven Junior Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to our financial health and operational success.

**Position Summary**:
The Junior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the financial records of our dynamic e-commerce platform. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual eager to build a foundation in accounting within the fast-paced tech sector. You will be responsible for supporting the full accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy in our financial transactions, and aiding in the preparation of financial reports.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Accounts Payable & Receivable**: Process incoming invoices, verify discrepancies, and ensure timely payments to vendors. Manage invoicing for marketplace fees and commissions receivable.
- **Transaction Reconciliation**: Perform daily reconciliation of sales transactions from the platform (e.g., credit card, PayPal) with bank deposits and general ledger entries.
- **General Ledger Maintenance**: Assist in preparing and posting journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and other month-end adjustments.
- **Month-End Close Support**: Play a supportive role in the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure deadlines are met.
- **Bank Reconciliations**: Conduct regular bank reconciliations for all company accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- **Expense Management**: Process and review employee expense reports for compliance with company policy.
- **Assist with Audits**: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.
- **Tax Support**: Assist with the preparation of supporting documents for VAT/GST and other tax filings.
- **Payroll Support**: Collaborate with the HR department to process payroll and reconcile related accounts.
- **Ad-hoc Projects**: Contribute to financial process improvements and automation initiatives as assigned by the Finance Manager.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience (including internships). Experience in e-commerce, SaaS, or a marketplace platform is a significant plus.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (e.g., GAAP).
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
