- Deployment and maintenance of Oracle Data Guard
- Deployment and maintenance of Oracle databases and tools
- Deployment of new systems and changes based on prepared deployment documentations by developers
- Maintain development, user acceptance, production and standby environments
- Work with team to ensure that the associated hardware resources are allocated to the databases and ensure high availability and optimum performance
- To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
- Responsible of company database production environment administration
- Development of necessary Linux scripts to integrate with ports authority and to monitor integration
- Responsible for problem escalation to Oracle support team in databases and third parties as appropriate
- Responsible for improvement and maintenance of databases to include rollout and upgrades
- Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team
- Responsible for database design and maintain backup policies
- Maintaining the security on the level Oracle databases
- Support infrastructure team in integration of backup solution and backups and restoration
- Periodically checking the correctness of the database backups
- Administration of development and testing environments
- Restoring of the production environments to development and testing environments
- Complying with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and IT policies
- Complying with AIM methodology and templates

**Requirements**:

- Expert in Oracle database management for e-business suite and Terminal Operating systems.
- Expert in Rman and online oracle backup
- Experience of Oracle Data Guard
- Working in real time business environments
- Database Design skills
- Physical Disk Storage skills
- Database Security skills
- Knowledge of ITIL framework, SDLC and AIM Methodology and service management software
- Experience of Oracle Enterprise Grid Control
- Backup and Recovery skills
- Change Control Management skills
- Strong administration and scripting skills working on Linux OS
- Ability to create SQL & shell scripts for automation of tasks
- Hands on experience with Oracle Applications administrationBachelors’ degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- 3 to 6 years of proven database administration experience with Oracle databases systems
- Strong communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Analytical skills for complex database problem solving
- The ability to trace the technical problems and to use analytical skills to research and resolve
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
