Tax Accountant

As a tax analyst you will be responsible for supporting Wesco’s tax compliance and audits. By liaising with colleagues and external advisors you ensure the tax filings are accurate and complete. **Responsibilities** - Gather and review the documentation needed to support the tax treatment of the transactions performed. This includes but is not limited to: - Ensure the documentation is in place and matched with the PO and invoices issued. - Validating and documenting the correctness of the values mentioned on invoices that are issued and are related to special tax treatments. - Work with the sales team, operations team and credit team when corrective actions are necessary. When requested, provide instructions on how a credit and rebill of the transaction can be done to ensure the billings are fine from a tax point of view. This includes a coordination role between the sales team, ops team and credit team on the correct set up -from a tax point of view - of the customer accounts - Preparation, submission and reconciliation of the local and foreign withholding tax return and matching against the VAT and CIT return. - Monthly preparation and submission of the Egyptian VAT return. This includes a detailed review of the sales and purchase invoices and provide instructions on corrective actions needed. - Assistance in the preparation of the CIT return. - Assist in internal and external tax audits and act as the first point of contact towards the Egyptian tax authority and local advisors. - Stay up to date of local developments of the Egyptian tax landscape. - Ensure the paper and electronic archive of all tax related documents and accounting records is in place and maintained according to Egyptian standards. - All other tax responsibilities assigned or requested by management. **Experience** - 2 years of related experience is required - Minimum bachelor degree in accountancy and tax - Fluent in Arabic and English language - Knowledge of pertinent tax laws, codes and regulations - Must be able to multi-task, work independently and be self-motivated. - Strong office and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. - Ability to research and analyse a variety of information. - Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. **Organization** At Wesco, we believe life should run smoothly.
