**Job Title**: Senior Accountant (2 Positions)

**Location**: New Cairo, Egypt
**Age Scope**: 30+ years
**Reporting To**: Finance Manager

**Job Summary**:
The Senior Accountant will ensure financial integrity by managing all accounting operations, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting for Solarsol Egypt. This role requires technical expertise in Egyptian accounting standards, leadership skills to supervise junior staff, and strategic contribution to financial planning.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Financial Management & Reporting**:

- Prepare and analyze **monthly financial statements** (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
- Oversee **accounts payable/receivable**, payroll processing, and invoice management.
- Ensure accurate **general ledger** maintenance and month-end/year-end closings.

**2. Compliance & Audits**:

- Guarantee adherence to **Egyptian tax laws** (VAT, income tax, payroll taxes) and accounting standards (Egyptian GAAP).
- Lead **internal/external audits** and implement corrective actions for findings.
- Manage all statutory filings and liaise with tax authorities.

**3. Budgeting & Forecasting**:

- Develop **annual budgets** and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
- Monitor variances between actuals and budgets, providing actionable insights.

**4. Team Leadership**:

- Supervise and mentor **junior accounting staff**, ensuring accurate task execution.
- Streamline accounting processes for efficiency and compliance.

**Qualifications & Skills**:
**Mandatory**:

- Bachelor’s degree in **Accounting, Finance**, or related field.
- **10 - 15 years** of progressive accounting experience (post-qualification).
- Expertise in **Egyptian accounting standards** and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in **accounting software** (QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or equivalent).

**Preferred**:

- **CPA/ACCA certification** (or in progress).
- Experience in **renewable energy/manufacturing sectors**.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, financial modeling).

**Soft Skills**:

- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.

Pay: From E£15,000.00 per month
