- Purpose of the role:_

The TEST Engineer is a technical project delivery role responsible for defining, specifying, documenting and delivering the TEST solutions for complex and critical projects in Egypt. Being able to understand and interpret customer and system requirements is a key skill required to be successful in this role. You must also be able to listen, understand and provide assistance for technical matters relating to Automated Fare collection systems.

The TEST Engineer works alongside the TEST Manager. He is responsible for ensuring that TEST activities delivered to the agreed scope, budget, and schedule.

The TEST Engineer Manager will be located at the Thales office in Cairo.
- Responsibilities_:
The TEST Engineer responsibilities are as follows, he/she must:

- Defines for the concerned level (solution or solution element) the TEST strategy.
- Tailors the TEST environment (process, practices and tools) including both for factory and site according to Country/Company requirements
- Defines TEST scenarios and guaranties their implementation.
- Defines/writes the TEST procedures and Test results documents.
- Manage traceability of test procedure with the Engineering specification through POLARION
- Support to Manage the test Platform
- Define and solve problems in a persistent and systematic fashion and be hands-on with troubleshooting exercises when required.
- Manage the review of test documents.
- Manage bug tracking using tools such as TFS.
- Tracks competitiveness KPI, performs root cause analysis of problems and conduct associated corrective actions (Performance initiatives) at their level.
- Assist the customer in the process of FAT and SAT.
- Key communications in this position are:_
- Regular communications with the customer.
- Regular communication with the TEST Manager in relation to the functional test organization.
- Regular communications with the development team in Cairo and other Hitachi countries depending on the project.
- Regular communication with the stakeholders involved in delivering the solution
- Qualifications:_
- A bachelor's level degree in a computer science - or relevant - field
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience.
- Experience in complex System Integration with third party component
- Experience in Deployment of complex and critical System
- Experience in technology JAVA/Spring REACT
- Experience in OS Windows / Linux Ubuntu
- Experience in technology Web and SQL
- Microsoft office (Word, VISIO, Excel, MS Project)
- tool’s practice like DOORS, POLARION or REQTIFY
- tool’s practice like TFS or JIRA
- Autonomy
- Versatility and flexibility
- Rigorousness, commitment and accountability, ability to take and meet commitments
- Fluent in English. French is a nice to have.
- Experience on Back Office Centric solution.
- Experience on open loop Solution.
- Interstate and overseas travel required.
- Agile Methodology.
