**Purpose of the job**

Design and Develop the Signaling, SDM & Roaming Network Capacity And Maintain Network Quality.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Plan for the future technology of Signaling & SDM/HSS and development needs.
- Study the introduction of new Signaling Nodes for SS7, SIP and Diameter Protocols to handle new services and new technologies.
- Study the introduction of new SDM/HSS to the network and the corresponding new services to the Network.
- Plan the signaling capacity growth based on the available capacity on the Signaling Nodes versus the marketing forecast and the new services.
- Plan the SDM/HSS capacity growth based on the marketing forecast and the new services.
- Plan for Roaming traffic growth based on the marketing forecast and roaming offers.
- Design the signaling layer and its growth, share it with the concerned teams; Core Switching, DN, Core interconnect, IMS, Transmission, Access, production, IN & VAS so that each team can plan the requirements from his side.
- Act as a Project Manager for the SW upgrade projects and HW expansions projects over the Signaling Nodes and the SDM/HSS.
- Design the signaling network for roaming traffic and roaming services and plan the capacity needed for roaming traffic and roaming services.
- Study with fraud team the needed features to avoid fraud cases and signaling storms.
- Seek for ideas and solutions to enhance the performance of the Signaling Nodes and the SDM/HSS.
- Plan future capacity expansion and network development needs with internal customers for Signaling Nodes and the SDM/HSS**_._**:

- Issue a weekly progress report, to the Senior Manager, Core Signaling & SDM Engineering for the running projects ,studies and activities.
- Monitor and control the Signaling Nodes and the SDM/HSS performance indicators KPIs to achieve best quality of service and to assure working with the accepted thresholds.
- Issue the needed PRs and POs and participate in IEC meeting to get the approvals.
- Participate in the negotiation with the vendors for new projects and new features.
- Responsible for testbed platforms to test new features and new SW releases.
- Interface with billing and provisioning team for new subscriber features and issues.
- Participate and contribute in the company strategic projects as Signaling Nodes and SDM/HSS are the heart of the network and involved in all company projects.

**Job specification**

Education
- Bachelor degree in Communications Engineering, Telecommunication major

Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience, 2 of which in a relevant role.

Skills and abilities
- Very good Communication & presentation skills.
- Very good Planning and organizing skills.
- Excellent coaching skills.
- Project management abilities; able to Manage multiple projects.
- Fluent English both spoken and written.
