The Production Engineer Sr. for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s KPC Production Engineering Asset team, reporting to the Production Engineering Manager.
This role will support KPC Engineering team in fulfilling present and future artificial lift needs and will be responsible for the following:
Provide safety leadership and guidance on how to delivery safe operations for all Artificial lift installations
Lead the evaluation of field wide artificial lift selection.
Support Area Leads in artificial lift well optimization and troubleshooting
Provide well specific technical guidance for ESP designs including:
Equipment and material selection
ESP cable selection
ESP sizing strategy to achieve optimal rates whilst optimizing run life
VSD optimization for startup and operating parameters

**Artificial Lift Performance management**:
Collect and evaluate key performance indicator data. Create and implement action plans to address findings.
Support, report, and implement revisions from DIFA findings (Dismantle, Inspection and Failure Analysis) of ESPs.
Lead multi-discipline early well failure analysis.

**Contractor management activities including**:
Technical support for tendering activities
Contract extension reviews and recommendations
Conflict resolutions for operational and contractual matters. Qualifications & Experience
12-17 years of Artificial Lift Experience (minimum of 6 years of experience working with an E&P operator)
Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred
Ability to function well in a high-paced and high activity environment
Strong communication, interpersonal skills with proven experience in working in large teams. Prior experience in a JV environment a plus.
Experience with ESP design and installation required.
