About the job Manager, Network Operation Center

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Compute:

- Server installation and configuration
- Carry out corrective maintenance on hardware (manage patches and physical work)
- Detect and analyse any abnormal hardware state and take necessary corrective actions
- Server and OS management (Windows, Linux) requiring that all operating system will be on the latest versions.

Database management (SQL & Oracle). All other types will be handled through vendor engagement.
- Manage and operate the database(s) including Oracle (under Exadata) and MS SQL for the internal Databases within the predefined architecture.
- MongoDB & Postgres and All Non-Oracle/SQL will be supported handled through Vendor engagement based on the contract support category between O-EG/ACUD and Vendor.
- Database availability management and service continuity
- Backup and restore the database(s)
- Database performance tuning
- Troubleshoot issues, analyze logs and resolve DB issues for SQL & Oracle.
- DB account management and DB tablespace management.
- Database as a service DBaaS will be provisioned to the public customers and it will be responsibility of the customers to manage

OS Management, OpenStack and Openshift support:

- Maintaining openstack as the cloud environment including all OSP modules (Horizon, Ansible, telemetryetc).
- Monitor cloud usage collection process and integration with Nokia billing and fix issues as needed.
- Provide automation setup for on-demand containers and packages
- Maintain internal image repository
- Responsible to maintain an OS repository with standardized versions

Storage management.
- Configure and maintain Storage systems
- Provide forecasted volume required (per server for SAN, or total volume for NAS)
- Connect servers to the storage infrastructure (LAN or SAN)

Backup management.
- Implementation of the backup & restore service in accordance with the backup policy defined with the Customer and restore should be done by customer unless they have an issue of the restoration. For the public cloud environment, customer will be able to create their own Backup policy.
- Provide the volume of data to backup per server
- Restore backups as and when needed under customers supervision to maintain data liability and responsibility
- Monitor backup process and provide reports as needed.

VDI Management
- Configuration and operation *of VDI infrastructure virtualization
- Hypervisor configuration management
- Virtualization software or host configuration
- VDI Citrix support is out of scope.

Core infrastructure management
- Support & Operate Code Admin services including Active directory, WSUS, NTP, etc...
