Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Direct, manage and monitor reliability programs for production equipment of MFG, PKG in both semi solids and solids and ensuring proper KPIs are used to evaluate performed activities.
- Ensure the proper and safe operation of the area.
- Lead reliability improvements to identify equipment obsolescence in advance to support planned replacement vs reactive replacement using existing & developing technologies.
- Identify & support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the Maintenance program in the short & medium term to maintain a reliable plant.
- Ensure compliance of engineering practices with Viatris Quality standards and Site quality procedures.
- Manage Equipment Periodic review to determine the validation status and the actions required to maintain the validated state of systems or equipment.
- Demonstrate knowledge in GMP, environmental, health and safety procedures to assure regulatory, policies and/or guidelines compliance.
- Exercise own judgment leveraging knowledge and experience. Works independently with instruction on complex problems.
- Assist with the developing, implementing, and maintaining the maintenance training program for equipment teams.
- Manage the maintenance budget in production equipment area with respect to (variance, projections, risks and mitigating strategies).
- Equipment Engineering Manager provides System Matter Expert (SME) input and approvals on deviations, change control requests, standard operating procedure revisions, action notices, and other Quality systems.
- Delegate Equipment Section Head in case of absence

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

- 5+ years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry in a maintenance/engineering role.
- Experience of working in an environment governed by SOPs and cGMPs and the know-how to work and manage within a regulatory oversight.
- Adaptable to a fast paced, complex, and ever-changing business environment.
- Strong analytical and communication skills are critical.
