Junior

The GeoWay team is actively looking for a Junior Backend Engineer to troubleshoot software issues, write efficient code and maintain documentation, participate in code reviews and assist senior engineers with projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Problem-solving**: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software and system performance.
- ** Coding and Testing**: Write clean, efficient code and participate in testing and debugging to ensure software quality.
- ** Documentation**: Create and maintain technical documentation for reference and reporting.
- ** Code Review Participation**: Engage in code reviews to learn from team members and ensure code quality standards are maintained.
- ** Support engineering team**: Assist senior engineers with design, development, and implementation of projects and systems.

**Qualifications**:

- ** Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- ** Programming Skills**: experience with Golang
- ** Basic Knowledge of Software Development**: Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile methodology, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- ** Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and communicate them effectively.
- ** Eagerness to Learn**: Strong desire to learn new technologies and develop skills in a collaborative environment.
- ** Attention to Detail**: A commitment to delivering high-quality work with precision and accuracy.

**Nice-to-Have**:

- Internship or prior project experience in software development, cloud technologies, or related fields.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar project management and collaboration software.
- Basic understanding of databases, networking, or cloud infrastructure.
