English Language Teacher for Adults

**COMPANY DESCRIPTION**:
**POSITION DESCCRIPTION**
To plan, organize and implement a face to face engaging instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop their English language skills.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
- Develop lesson plans
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
- Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities
- Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs
- Use relevant technology to support instruction
- Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
- Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments
- Provide appropriate feedback on students’ progress
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
- Participate in department meetings
- Prepare tests, examination papers, and exercises
- Devise, write and produce supplementary materials, including audio and visual resources
- Attend and contribute to teacher development training sessions

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred (i.e. TESOL, EFL, Applied Linguistics, English)
- Minimum of three years teaching experience with adult learners
- Curriculum development experience preferred
- C2 level on the CEFR required (i.e. 95-100 TOEFL iBT score)/Minimum English language TOEIC Score of 960 or C2 equivalent
- Near-native North American accent preferred
