Planning & Cost Control Engineer

This role is to support GSEC management in planning different activities and ensure proper synchronization to achieve targets.
Responsible for project timescale estimation and ensuring that the outlined deadlines are met by working closely and mainly with project management & procurement teams to ensure a project runs on schedule and that material supplies are sufficient.
Responsible for cost control for the running projects, coordinating with finance to ensure proper invoice and cash flow plan, and with procurement to ensure the proper procurement plan for all projects according to the project schedule & approved budgets.
- Planning for bidding activities to ensure all inputs are prepared and provided by different parties as per the bidding process.
- Track targets for activities based on each phase of a project plan and ensure they meet the client’s specifications.
- Understand project specifications and develop time schedules and budgets that meet them.
- Overlooking the overall master schedule, integrating revenues/cash plan/forecast, and actual figures.
- Preparing project budgets according to the approved P&L and following up on the budgeted cost items.
- Ensure to stay within the project each item cost budget and discuss each case with the relevant PM before action.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to have a master procurement plan synchronized with targets and report progress to the GSEC management team.
- Make comparisons between planned progress and actual progress, and report any differences to the project managers
- Report deviations recognized on the budget, prepare recovery plans, and seek management approval.
- Coordinate a master consolidated project CM plan synchronized with project schedules and report progress to the management team concerned.
- Analyze technical drawings and provide material and cost estimates.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Any other assigned management reporting required by the management team.
- Identify gaps in key performance areas and plan activities to increase overall project efficiency.
- Provide guidance and deliver schedules to facilitate the project execution strategy.
- Overlooking the overall master schedule, integrating revenue plan/forecast, and actual figures.
- Preparing project budgets according to the approved P&L and following up on the budgeted cost items.
- Ensure to stay within the project each item cost budget and discuss each case with the relevant PM before taking action.
- Report deviations recognized on the budget, prepare recovery plans, and seek management approval.
- Follow up on cost control processing to optimize the cash out and report budget issues.
- Updating the budget, margin & invoices and comparing them with the baseline.
- Coordinate a master consolidated project CM plan synchronized with project schedules and report progress to the management team concerned.

Skilled in Project Budgeting and Cost Estimation.
Proficient in Monitoring Progress and preparing S-curves and Cash Flow Forecasts.
Familiar with Earned Value Management (EVM).
Experience in Preparing and Updating Baseline Programs.

Bachelor of Engineering with a Specialization in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
