Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into API specifications and implementation plans.
- Configure and customize API Connect components, including API gateways, developer portals, and analytics modules, to meet project objectives and requirements.
- Implement security measures, such as authentication, authorization, and encryption, to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of APIs and data.
- Optimize API performance and scalability by implementing best practices, caching strategies, and load balancing techniques.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of APIs to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Document API specifications, usage guidelines, and troubleshooting procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among team members.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, architects, and stakeholders on API design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to API management and integration.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing APIs using IBM API Connect or similar API management platforms.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles, protocols, and standards.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java.
- Experience with API security standards and protocols, such as OAuth, JWT, and SSL/TLS.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as IBM Cloud,& AWS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications in API management or related fields (e.g., IBM Certified Solution Advisor - API Connect) would be a plus.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting API solutions using IBM API Connect and DataPower Gateway.
- Proficiency in API management concepts, protocols, and standards (REST, SOAP, JSON, OAuth, OpenAPI).
- Hands-on experience with IBM API Connect components, including API Designer, Developer Portal, and Gateway.
- Strong understanding of IBM DataPower Gateway features and capabilities, such as message mediation, security policies, and multi-protocol gateway.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and deployment models (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications in IBM API Connect and DataPower Gateway are desirable
