As a **Design Engineer** at Taqa Arabia, you will be responsible for designing and developing engineering solutions for complex oil and gas projects. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure that all designs are efficient, safe, and meet both client specifications and regulatory standards. This role requires extensive experience in oil and gas design, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and innovation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for oil and gas projects, ensuring they meet technical and regulatory standards.
- Perform feasibility studies and engineering calculations to evaluate design concepts and solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure alignment with overall objectives.
- Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure designs comply with local, international, and industry-specific standards, codes, and regulations, especially for oil and gas projects.
- Provide technical support during the project implementation phase, including addressing design-related queries and ensuring design integrity is maintained.
- Review and assess the design process to ensure cost-effectiveness and optimization.
- Lead design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and technical discussions to improve design practices and introduce innovative solutions.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.
- Identify and resolve design-related issues, ensuring timely adjustments and revisions as required.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in oil and gas design.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in design engineering, with a specialization in **oil and gas projects**.
- Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or other relevant engineering tools.
- Extensive knowledge of oil and gas design standards, codes, and industry regulations.
- Proven experience in designing systems and infrastructure for oil and gas projects, such as pipelines, refineries, offshore platforms, or related facilities.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, design techniques, and project management practices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and creativity in generating design solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience in project coordination and cross-functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in the oil and gas sector.
