**Introduction to role**:
AstraZeneca Near East & Maghreb Countries, is seeking a Franchise Lead for our Oncology Team. This role will drive develop and implement the marketing strategy and operational marketing mix and tactics to achieve the brand ambition by delivering budgeted or above sales growth. **Job Purpose**:

- To chip in to the business success through the development and the implementation of an actionable marketing strategy leading to a profitable and competitively positioned oncology brand
- Improve the success of oncology brands & chip in actively to the development of a disease area vision and strategy
- To manage a team of Brand Managers/Senior Brand Managers
- To support & aid in the on boarding of new AB’s/ BM’s
- To achieve financial objectives, demonstrating available resources in the most effective manner

**Key Areas of Responsibility**:
**Operational Brand Management & Customer Excellence**
- Lead the delivery of high-quality strategic plans for AstraZeneca Franchise/oncology, launch plans, business action plans and campaign plan in close collaboration with Sales, Medical, Regulatory/Corporate, Finance and SFE
- Deliver and implement ambitious and customer focused brand plans
- Chip in to the development and implementation of market access strategy and plan
- Provide clear recommendations to SMT on key business strategies such as budget, key strategic elements, major tactical programs, and any issues having significant business risk.
- Launch new TAs portfolio within Near East & Maghreb Countries markets
- Develop the key performance indicators and address gaps and discrepancies

**Customers**
- Develop deep understanding of customer needs through innovative Market Research techniques and frequent contacts with key partners and customers.
- Develop positive relationship with KOL and represent the company in external meetings
- Put in place effective operation plan in order to optimize relationship plans in collaboration with the BU Manager
- Regular contacts with KOLs to optimize current and future marketing initiatives
- Identify future opportunities with key partners.

**Communication & Promotion**
- Lead the cross-functional team to develop all campaign material and all the briefing documents to ensure maximum impact
- Leverage guidelines from global brand team and brief campaign task force accordingly to ensure respect of international guidelines
- Lead actively agencies to ensure efficient use of available financial resources
- Briefing and selection of agency
- Review performance of agency and costs
- Collect adequate feedback on promotional material/items at feedback meetings
- Coordinate, in collaboration with members of the brand team
- Advisory boards, round tables or other guide meetings
- Speaker/PM Lead Meetings
- Launch meetings
- Be actively involved in the organization of regional and national sales meetings
- Ensure full compliance of material / activities with ethical and AZ Pharma code (demonstrate and ensure active respect for values, business ethics, local laws, policies and marketing procedures)

**Cross -Functional Relations**
- Act as a key element of the cross-functional team
- Able to work among virtual highly matrixed teams with validate efficiencies.
- Sales force:

- Accompany reps at regular intervals to gain insight on current and future marketing initiatives
- Provide training to new reps on the promotional materials and product strategy
- Answer questions from sales force (on promotional material and brand strategy)

**Minimum Criteria and Proficiencies**:

- Bachelor’s degree of pharmacy/Medicine with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing is required and 3 Years Oncology experience in a management position
- French language is a plus
- The job holder will be required to travel extensively.
- Ability to network across geographic and cultural boundaries
- A strategic problem solver who can set priorities, they should be customer oriented, understand the motives of the industry, creative to find challenges for the business while proactive to solve problems
