**Trade Support Specialist**

**Project Overview and Role**:
USAID’s Trade Reform and Development in Egypt (TRADE) project builds on decades of U.S. investments in Egyptian businesses and economic policy with the aim of substantially increasing Egyptian exports from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The TRADE project focuses on six selected sectors: engineering products, food processing, home têxtiles, ready-made garments, chemicals, and building materials. Through the project, USAID works with the Government of Egypt to improve the trade and investment policy environment and reduce barriers to trade. USAID also partners with business associations and export councils to strengthen the trade services ecosystem for small
- and medium-sized exporters, as well as with private companies to help them access new international markets to increase export sales. TRADE tackles many trade and investment-related issues to sustainably increase Egyptian exports and drive economic growth.

***Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
**OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES**

The Trade Support Specialist will assist R2 with the work related to stakeholders (Trade Support Institutions): relations, engagement planning and follow-up in addition to documenting interactions & reporting.

**TASKS**
- ** **Assist Trade Services Manager in creating and implementing action plans for the capacity building interventions with multiple stakeholders.
- Develop and monitor the TOR of service providers necessary to implement the capacity building plan.
- Assist in producing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on engaging with TSIs.
- Help in editing technical reports to ensure delivery of better and timely quality of outputs.
- Improve productivity of Result 2
- Deliver accurate and timely reporting on stakeholders’ queries.
- Respond to day-to-day queries of multiple stakeholders to ensure timeliness of engagements with TSIs.
- Liaise with other teams within TRADE to ensure effective delivery of assignments and proper information flow.
- Ensure all MEL requirements and follow ups are met and taken into consideration in every task undertaken by the Result.
- Support Trade Services Manager handling multiple accounts of TRADE project partners.

**Required Qualifications**:

- University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Development, or related field.
- From 7 to 10 years of relevant experience
- Awareness of exporting community and industries in Egypt is a plus.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines
- English proficiency and strong English language writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent client and relationship management ability
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
