The FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Systems Analyst plays a key role in bridging the gap between the financial planning & analysis department and IT. They are responsible for managing and improving financial systems, databases, and tools, ensuring they meet the needs of the business and its financial goals.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Serve as a key liaison between the finance and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Manage, maintain, and improve financial systems, databases, and tools to support FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
- Perform complex data analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and financial performance insights.
- Translate financial business needs into system requirements and ensure the system's functionality aligns with these requirements.
- Collaborate with IT to develop and implement system enhancements, modifications, and fixes.
- Train finance team members on the use of financial systems and tools, and create user-friendly instructions and documentation.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
- Assist with troubleshooting system issues, providing timely resolution.
- Participate in system-related projects from inception to completion, including system selection, design, testing, and implementation.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. (A master's degree would be advantageous).
- Proven experience as an FP&A Analyst, Systems Analyst, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of financial systems and databases, and proficiency in data analysis software and tools.
- Solid knowledge of financial forecasting, corporate finance, and information analysis.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with programming languages like Python or R would be a plus.
- Professional certification such as Certified Information Systems Analyst (CISA), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar would be advantageous.
- Experience with specific financial systems or tools used by the company.
