Prepares monthly cost of sales figures by analyzing material, direct expenses.
- Assists the accounting manager in preparing monthly journal entries for cost of sales and scrap.
- Maintains weighted average cost inventory system and follows established valuation method.
- Assists in the quarterly and year-end physical inventory process.
- Reviews and audits the costing system including costs for purchased material inventory.
- Analyzes variances from cost estimates.
- Prepares report for accounting manager and recommends changes.
- Review costing of all Inventory items.
- Reviews the accuracy of the stores inventory balances and controls.
- Maintain accurate accounting records using PC & GP systems.
- Analyze inventory to ensure transactions are recorded accurately.
- Analyze and review inventory costing, verify reasonableness of standard and weighted average cost.
- Actively involved in implementation of companies inventory cycle count program.
- Item pricing with receiving documents.
- Allocate the landed cost which relates to shipment.
- Assist in the closing of the financial statements.
- Follow up all HSE Instructions.

**Technical Skills**:

- Bachelors of Commerce, a Post Graduate Certificate in Finance or Accounting is an asset.
- 2-5 years experience in the Finance or Accounting field.
- Preferably Experience in HSE Management System.
- Excellent knowledge of MS office

**Education**:
Bachelor's of Commerce with a major in Accounting or finance
