**Job Description**:
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate, analyze, and learn from security researchers, attackers, and real incidents to propose durable protection solutions/strategies across the kill-chain.
Take on complex technical problems for which there is often no known answer, research similar problems and solutions, and experiment with innovative solutions to reach a conclusion on how to solve it.
Replicate attacker techniques and tooling to produce samples for use during detection development and for detection validation and gap identification.
Develop tools and additional resources to automate and improve the team's research efforts.
Participate in on-going testing of threat detection capabilities, producing gap analyses, attack samples,
remediation recommendations, and document findings for broad use across the company and in other products.
Produce research documentation, white papers, blog posts etc. from the output of extensive research projects.
Qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience is required.
MSc in a computer or security related field is a huge plus.
1+ years of security related experience.
Background in software development is required.
Good understanding of vulnerability classes (OWASP), how they can be exploited.
Demonstrated ability to conduct research and document findings.
Expertise in automation and developing helper tools.
Knowledge of cryptography, including symmetric & asymmetric ciphers, hash functions, PKI, and certificates.
Application of cryptography to software engineering problems, such as secrets management, authentication, and data masking.
Familiarity with open standards such as OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, and TLS is a plus.
Able to design and write POCs in languages & Frameworks such as C#, C++, Python.
Solid knowledge in Web APIs.
