Operational Branch Controllership Analyst

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Ensure timely, and accurate preparation of activities required for quarter-end and month-end closing (performing accounting and balance sheet reviews and analysis) according to the business deadlines for Hydro Power's remote sites in META and Europe regions
- Coordinate, review and support day-to-day accounting and close activities performed by outsourced teams
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations
- Lead various R2R related projects (e. g. simplifications, system changes, new policies implementation, migrations)
- Contribute to onboard 3rd party accounting and tax consultants by training
- Support to set up or closure of branches and coordinate with tax, stat, treasury, legal and outsourced teams
- Participate in SAP implementation project by identifying and working on solutions during the ERP planning and execution phases
- Support the statutory and tax teams, including the external audit firm and tax consulting firm, to ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory financial statements and tax documents
- Improve site sourcing process (implement proper B2P processes and eliminate invoice approval through workflows), decrease manual payments
- Ensure that internal controls and check points are in place and are followed
- Prepare materials and provide training on technical accounting and other areas where knowledge/ gaps of the team are identified

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance / economics
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance
- Advanced computer skills: ERP, Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong analytical skills; able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers
- Experience working in an international company with a matrixed environment
