Overview:
IDC is looking for a **Sr. Research Analyst Enterprise Hardware**. This role is part of IDC's Data and Analytics team focusing on enterprise hardware technologies, including servers, storage, and networking infrastructure in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. The position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver valuable insights that shape business decisions for industry leaders. The role plays a crucial part in maintaining IDC's reputation as a trusted authority in the technology research space. The role is dynamic, combining technical expertise with market analysis, and requires staying ahead of the latest developments in enterprise hardware and networking technologies. **Responsibilities**:

- Conduct primary and secondary research focused on enterprise hardware technologies (server, storage & network) in the Middle East and Africa region;
- Work with and master IDC proprietary software and analysis tools; and manage large data sets;
- Create and publish IDC reports and press releases;
- Maintain active relations with key market players in the vendor and distributor community;
- Contribute and ensure timely delivery of standard research as well as custom research and consulting engagements.

Qualifications:

- University degree from a well-recognized university
- 2-3 years of similar experience
- Good understanding of enterprise hardware technologies.
- High proficiency in Excel or similar software and ability to work with large datasets.
- Strong analytical skills and a sharp eye for detail.
- Excellent written and spoken English
- A passion for technology and a natural inclination to follow, analyze and comment on latest trends and developments
- Ability to work in a very agile and highly collaborative environment.
- Strong understanding of networking infrastructure (Ethernet Switch, Router and Wireless LAN will be an added advantage
