A petroleum service company is hiring a pre-qualification specialist

Job Summary:
*The Prequalification Specialist is responsible for managing the prequalification process for suppliers, contractors, and service providers within the engineering sector. This role ensures that all potential vendors meet the company’s standards and requirements before they are approved to participate in tenders or projects. The Prequalification Specialist will assess qualifications, verify documentation, and maintain an updated list of qualified vendors, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

*Key Responsibilities:
*1. Vendor Assessment and Prequalification:

- Evaluate and analyze potential vendors' technical, financial, and operational capabilities to determine their suitability for inclusion in the approved vendor list.
- Review and verify documentation submitted by vendors, including certifications, licenses, financial statements, and past project performance.
- Conduct on-site audits or assessments of vendors when necessary to validate information and ensure compliance with prequalification criteria.
- Develop and maintain prequalification criteria and guidelines in line with industry standards and company requirements.

2. *Documentation and Compliance:

- Ensure all vendor information and documentation are accurate, up-to-date, and properly filed within the company’s systems.
- Monitor vendor compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure that all prequalified vendors meet necessary legal and regulatory requirements.

3. *Collaboration and Communication:* - Work closely with procurement, engineering, and project management teams to understand project requirements and ensure that prequalified vendors meet those needs. - Serve as the point of contact between the company and vendors during the prequalification process, addressing any questions or concerns from both parties.
- Communicate the results of the prequalification process to internal stakeholders, providing recommendations for vendor selection

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering,
- Proven experience in vendor management, procurement, or a related role within the engineering or construction industries.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
