IT Sales Specialist Job Description
- Identifying potential new clients and making initial contact with them to determine their needs and interests.
- Speak to customers, either face to face or over the phone.
- Ensure the quality of service by developing a thorough and detailed knowledge of technical specifications and other features of employers' systems and processes, and then documenting them.
- Carry out cold calling to create interest in products and services, generate new business leads, and arrange meetings.
- Identify and develop new business through networking and follow-up courtesy calls.
- Preparing and presenting sales presentations to all the clients to promote products or services.
- Creating and maintaining records to CRM Software of all contacts with potential customers to identify potential leads for future sales opportunities.
- Following up with customers after a sale has been done to ensure satisfaction with products or services and that any questions have been answered.
- Understanding the technical features and functionalities of the company’s products.
- Keeping informed on technical product specifications and functionalities.
- Developing a sales strategy and setting sales targets.
- Consulting with IT developers and management on product offerings.
- Preparing and delivering sales pitches and product demonstrations.
- Initiating after-sales technical support based on client requirements and feedback.
- Handle software problems and faults, referring to specialist technical colleagues where appropriate.
- Respond to tender documents, proposals, reports, and supporting literature
- manage workload to organize and prioritize daily and weekly goals
- Interact to do responses for international bidding such as RFP / RFI.
- contribute to team or progress meetings to update and inform colleagues.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's or associate degree in marketing, or a similar qualification.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology would be advantageous.
- 2-5 years experience in UAE in an IT sales environment.
- Advanced knowledge of marketing and sales strategies.
- Ability to explain and demonstrate IT product specifications and functionalities.
- Advanced proficiency in IT industry terminology and jargon.
- Ability to liaise with management and IT developers about sales strategies.
- Exceptional ability in negotiating sales deals, contracts, and service agreements.
- Ability to evaluate client feedback and provide after-sales service.
- In-depth knowledge of consumer behavior, as well as industry trends and innovation.
