Do you want to be in the driver seat for functional safety within Danfoss Drives If you take the chance as our new Senior Functional Safety Engineer, you will get the opportunity to use your Systems Engineering skills and drive the development of functional safety of Danfoss Drives products.

You will join our Danfoss Drives Segment and become responsible for driving the functional safety within a product team, where you are developing and ensuring that products and systems meet appropriate regulatory and standards. You will also be a part of developing our functional safety activities on a Danfoss Drives cooperate level. You will become part of dedicated team consisting of five skilled colleagues and you will regularly have contact with both internal and external partners across borders.

**Responsibilities**:
If you take the opportunity as our new Senior Functional Safety Engineer, your key responsibility will be to strengthen our Functional Safety approach, and to provide safety engineering guidance and support to your product team. You will be the Functional Safety responsible inside your product team.

With reference to People Leader of Compliance and Systems Engineering, you will be one of 2 leads in defining and implementing the future product platform within functional safety. You will become part of product design by conducting product safety evaluations and act as product safety contact for regulatory compliance information.

Other key responsibilities will be:

- Driving FMEDA, and support on a cooperate level
- Reviewing existing and emerging legislation for potential impacts
- Manage the compilation of technical files for global certification and regulatory compliance
- Review and prepare, as necessary, compliance reports to regulatory agencies and management

You have a good knowledge in cross cutting technologies (Mechanics, Electronics, Software). You have a strong team spirit and can build relations and cooperate across borders and cultures. You are known for your positive and can-do mind-set. You contribute to a fun and helpful work environment, where trust is key.

You have a solid analytical ability, good communication skills and focus on details enabling you to see matters from a functional safety point of view.

Furthermore:

- You have an engineering degree or similar and at least 6 years of Functional Safety experience.
- You have experience working with 3rd part assessors (i.e., TÜV) and extensive knowledge of IEC 61508 is a must.
- You have a proven record of achieving regulatory compliance of a product and know how to use functional safety verification tools and creation of functional safety reports including completion of the associated safety related risk assessment.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
