**Requirements and responsibilities**

**Job Title: Senior Test Automation Specialist (Playwright Expertise)**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
Manual Testing: Perform manual testing activities, including test case creation, execution, and defect reporting, to ensure software quality.

Conversion of Manual to Automated Tests: Identify and prioritize manual test cases for automation, converting them into efficient and reusable Playwright scripts.

Test Framework Development: Build and enhance test automation frameworks using Playwright to support cross-browser and cross-platform testing.

Continuous Integration: Integrate Playwright tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback loops.

Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior team members on best practices for Playwright and test automation.

Reporting: Generate detailed test reports, including test execution results, coverage metrics, and automation progress, for stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years focused on test automation using Playwright.

Technical Skills:
Strong programming skills in JavaScript or TypeScript.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

Knowledge of API testing and integration with Playwright.

Manual Testing: Proven experience in manual testing, including test case design, execution, and defect tracking.

Automation Conversion: Demonstrated ability to convert manual test cases into automated scripts using Playwright.

Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Leadership: Experience mentoring junior team members and leading automation initiatives.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Experience with other test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) in addition to Playwright.

Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

ISTQB or similar certification.
