Job Role: Oracle Senior Database Administrator

Location: Cairo, Egypt ( Onsite )

Permanent

Responsibilities and Duties:
Installing and maintaining database management software.
- Backup and Recovery measures to safeguard data.
- Monitoring and maintaining space usage within the database.
- Sizing and creation of databases
- Table/index sizing and fragmentation
- Database capacity planning
- Define and implement backup and recovery process for database instance
- Database backup and restores.
- Transform logical data model into physical data model.
- Implement physical data model
- Tune the database
- Troubleshoot database problems
- Assisting with data movement between instances.
- Engage at the earliest possible time with the Database Manager when changes are requested.
- Participate in service reviews upon request.
- Installation and configuration of the DB engine.
- Design and implementation of appropriate DB archive logs and backup schedule to provide for
- recovery objectives.
- Scheduling services for recurring user-defined command scripts.
- Database replication
- Database clustering
- Table/index sizing and de
- fragmentation
- Avoid data inconsistencies in end-to-end solution landscapes (data-integrity).
- Define a model for action and defines procedures for managing exceptions and error situations

that occur during daily business operations.
- Manage incidents efficiently across MOJ business units, customer IT, and independent
- Defines how to perform root-cause analysis end to end across separate components and

technologies.
- Keep transactions consistent in distributed software landscapes
- Execute RDBMS test plan to ensure proper installation, upgrade.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software, computer engineer or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Oracle Technologies Implementations.
- Result‐oriented decisive leader to maintain high quality standards.
- Spoken Languages Arabic & English.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Certifications: (Plus)
- Oracle Certified Application Developer, Oracle Developer Release 2
- Oracle Certified Internet Application Developer, Oracle Forms Developer Release 6/6i
- Sun Certified Programmer JAVATM 2 Platform 1.2
