**Job Title**:Senior Tendering Engineer - Protection and Automation

**Location**: Cairo, Egypt.

This role is critical in designing competitive technical and commercial offers that meet customer requirements for Protection, Substation Automation, and SCADA systems.

Today, we are looking to recruit a Senior Tender Engineer to join our Cairo based team. Here you will lead the tendering process for Protection and Automation projects - supporting pre-sales, technical solutioning, cost estimation, and proposal preparation. You will work across functions, collaborate with sales and engineering teams, and engage with regional/global experts to deliver winning offers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Analyze customer requirements and RFQs for protection and substation automation systems.
- Develop technically compliant and commercially competitive offers for protection relays (e.g., SIPROTEC), SCADA systems, RTUs, and communication architectures.
- Liaise with engineering, procurement, and finance to define scope, costs, and execution strategy.
- Prepare bid documentation including technical proposals, cost breakdowns, and compliance matrices.
- Present and defend proposals in technical/commercial clarifications and negotiations.
- Ensure alignment with Siemens standards, digital portfolio strategy, and sustainability goals.
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies to enhance competitiveness.
- Support project handover to execution teams after contract award.

**Qualifications & Skills - Digital and Solid**
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Power Systems or Protection.
- 7+ years of experience in Tendering, Design, or Execution of protection and substation automation solutions.
- Solid knowledge of Siemens Protection Relays (SIPROTEC 4/5), SICAM PAS/AK3/ACOS, or equivalent systems.
- Familiar with IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, and digital substation concepts.
- Strong command of cost estimation, value engineering, and tender strategy.
- Experienced in bid tools (e.g., SAP, COMOS, Salesforce, e-bidding platforms).
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration, attention to detail, and clear technical writing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance customer needs with business goals.
- Excellent communication in both Arabic and English.
