The prime objective for the HSE Specialist is to implement organizational safety policies and programs. This will be achieved through conducting and overseeing internal and external audits as well as conducting risk assessments to detect potential hazards. The HSE Specialist will also be responsible for driving a safe culture and researching trends in the region; pro-actively implementing risk-mitigation measures, including pandemics.

**Health, Safety and Environmental**
- Deployment and maintenance of safety policies and procedures.
- Annual alignment of MENEA HSE to GVR MEA Targets.
- Provide a service to all parts of the MENEA region who require HSE support.
- Manage the Incident Investigations process to ensure timely report out.
- Coordinate the MENEA HSE Network.
- Support or attend industry and client meetings as required.
- Provision of 1st and 2nd line Technical Operations Support to dedicated structures and customers
- Schedule and co-ordinate HSE training for employees and contractors
- Monitor NMPIs and build communication campaigns around the outcomes
- In conjunction with Procurement ensure quality HSE PPE for the region
**Compliance**
- Plan and participate in the annual audits and conduct Management System audits annually.
- Compile monthly HSE statistics, to be consolidated to overall business HSE statistics
- Ensure all legal appointments are made in the area of responsibility
- Sustainment of the Company’s Quality Management System internally and with channel partners in area of responsibility
- Compliance with annual Quality Management System audits
- Maintain the HSE Legal Register for MENEA and communicate any major changes.
- Active use of VBS to carry out continuous improvement priorities
- Implementation and Sustainment of Technical and Quality Standard Work
- Adherence to internal SLA
- Issue non-compliance
- Sign off contractor and channel partners approvals
- Technical corrective measures
- Investigations on Contractors and Technicians
**Budgeting**
- Management of HSE cost within the region
Education and Experience

University degree (Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- In depth knowledge of local Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Regulations in the forecourt, mining and fleet environment
- Knowledgeable and experienced in risk assessments and audits processes
- Industry experience
