As Sr HR. Manager, MEA you will be a trusted advisor to management to advise, support and guide leaders on organizational effectiveness. You will be the HR lead for our MEA business which includes Egypt, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar and will partner across the HR team to ensure we have the appropriate policies, processes, and compliance in place. As a key member of the local management team, you will represent the HR function in the company's decision-making bodies. As a manager, your mission is to promote a culture of positive relations within the company while reducing risk living out our values and putting our people at the heart of everything we do. Fluency in Arabic and English is essential for this role.
**OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS**:
- Be the HR lead for MEA to ensure that policies and processes are in place from a compliance perspective and advise/create on policies and processes that respectfully express the rights and obligations of our people.
- Provide guidance to the People Operations team on country specific nuances for region-wide programs and processes.
- Partner with leaders at multiple levels and their teams to execute HR strategies and activities that foster growth, innovation and organisational effectiveness. This includes collaborating on the design and implementation of programs, processes and tools to help set managers and employees up for success.
- Provide partnership and counsel to leaders and managers ensuring employee advocacy and fairness.
- Successfully coach and counsel managers on maintaining positive employee relations and serve as primary point of contact for managers on determining resolutions for a wide range of people-related issues.
- Collaborate with HR team to champion an environment where we can inspire and encourage our people to do their best work.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and collaboratively develop and implement innovative and effective solutions.
- Represent the HR function within the local management team. Act as an HR intermediary and communication facilitator for the leadership team within HR.
- Oversee local HR communication in collaboration with appropriate departments.
- Act as a local contact for regulators, HR networks, employees and management (e.g., at Town Hall meetings), and as a representative of the HR function internally.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, health and safety standards/requirements, external and internal audit, etc.
- Collaborate with support functions to ensure compliance and the deployment of consistent practices to address issues related to individual and collective labour relations.
- Ensure full regulatory compliance and plan all activities of the first line of defense within the HR function.
- Share responsibility for HR service delivery with Centres of Excellence and other HRBPs.
- Be a matrix manager who advises and supervises the local HR team members daily, and maintains the synergy, commitment and collaboration of the EMEA and Global HR team.
- Manage the HR component of restructuring projects and transformation programs, including mergers & acquisitions.
- Identify, review and resolve emlpoyee relations issues in collaboration with the HRBPs and relevant managers.
- Facilitate the management of litigation files (e.g., performance, management of sick leave, behavior, complaint)
- Analyze relevant data to identify trends and recommend solutions.
- Harmonize and implement global HRIS and other best-in-class HR Tools: you will maximize the HRIS possibilities to automate as many tasks as possible and generate dashboards.
**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Demonstrated professional experience and qualification within the HR function with a deep working knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the organization and an expanded HR team, locally and virtually.
- Flexible, open and able to anticipate the needs of the organization as well as to establish an HR partnership allowing the organization to achieve its objectives.
- Project management skills, ability to manage acquisitions, divestitures and restructurings.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, influencing, communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively at all levels within a matrix organization.
- Ability to think systemically and consult strategically with all levels of management and leaders
