Job Description: Senior Odoo Developer

Location:
Nasr City, Cairo (On-Site)

Schedule:
Full-Time, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Odoo Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, customizing, and implementing high-quality Odoo applications and modules. You will leverage your deep expertise in the Odoo framework and Python to design robust solutions that meet complex business requirements. This is a hands-on technical role that also involves providing guidance to junior developers and ensuring the overall technical quality of our Odoo implementations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customization & Development:
    Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Odoo modules and functionalities based on specific business needs.
  • Website Development:
    Develop and customize Odoo website components and e-commerce solutions.
  • Technical Leadership:
    Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews to junior developers to foster a culture of excellence.
  • Analysis & Problem-Solving:
    Perform technical analysis of requirements, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement effective, efficient solutions.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Ensure code quality, performance, and security through best practices in development and testing.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Stay updated with the latest Odoo releases, trends, and best practices to continuously improve our development processes and methodologies.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with project managers, functional consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of
    3+ years of professional experience
    in Odoo development and eCommerce implementations.
  • Proven experience working on-site in a collaborative team environment.

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

  • Odoo Expertise:
    Excellent knowledge of the Odoo framework, including its ORM, QWeb, and core modules (Sales, CRM, Inventory, Accounting, etc.).
  • Python Proficiency:
    Strong core Python programming skills and a solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
  • Databases:
    Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including performance optimization.
  • Version Control:
    Proficient in using version control systems, specifically Git (Bitbucket/GitLab).
  • Frontend:
    Good understanding of frontend technologies (XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for UI customization.
  • System Administration:
    Working knowledge of Linux server environments for deployment and basic administration.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Very good command of English (written, listening, and spoken).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Odoo Certification is a significant plus.
  • Experience with enterprise-level implementations and multi-company setups.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for Odoo.
  • Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
