Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly/quarterly close for the Egypt entity under Egyptian
  • Accounting Standards (EAS), including journals, accruals, prepaids/deferrals,
  • fixed assets, inter-company, FX remeasurement/translation, and
  • balance-sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly budgets/forecasts and finalize management financial reports
  • for submission to the US team, including variance and flux analyses.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns accurately and on time; maintain evidence files
  • and reconcile VAT General Ledger returns.
  • Improve close timelines through process standardization, automation of
  • reconciliations, and ERP/reporting enhancements.
  • Maintain daily cross-functional communication with the accounting and
  • finance team in the US.
  • Ensure timely collection and submission of supplier invoices. Manage AP
  • aging, payment runs, and vendor onboarding documentation.
  • Submit Employee Income Tax declarations. Handle quarterly Withholding Tax
  • submissions.
  • Maintain compliance with ETA e-Invoicing/e-Receipt requirements
  • Coordinate with external advisors on updates and audits.
  • Manage payroll processes and ensure accurate calculation, reporting, and
  • timely payment of employee salaries and related taxes in compliance with
  • applicable regulations

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or Finance (Accounting focus preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance, ideally within a multinational
  • environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax regulations and EAS, with hands-on
  • experience in VAT, WHT, payroll taxes, CIT, and ETA e-Invoicing/e-Receipt.
  • Experience with cross-border financial communication and reporting to
  • US-based finance teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations) and ERP
  • systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday); BI tools (Power BI/Tableau)
  • are a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight
  • deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
  • Clear, professional communication in English; professional Arabic proficiency
  • required.
  • A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
  • and collaboratively across teams.

  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or ESAA).
  • Experience supporting audits, building SOX-aligned controls, and improving
